The drawers have temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. The drawers are simple to open and shut, but I found the textured plastic coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers.
The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range. This includes Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices can let you control your refrigerator from anywhere in the world, and has many options for customizing. It also sends you notifications when the door is left unlocked, when the fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted, and when the filter requires a change.
It would be nice to have GE PYE22PYNFS offered Precise fill which is a feature that is available in a few GE refrigerators that allows users to set how many cups they want to disperse. It also has an indicator on the fridge display to display how much water you have remaining, but that's not as helpful as Precise fill.
Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a stunning piece of equipment. It's designed to appear like it's a seamless component of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also comes with a veggie compartment to keep fruits and vegetables fresher longer and has dual compressors for maximum food preservation. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces pyramid shaped ice using minimal water. This fridge is perfect for a small household or a kitchenette with an attractive design and top of the line food preservation.
The fridge was rated the best refrigerator in our Refrigerators test for a few reasons. The freezer temperature remained steady at just above 0°F and never fluctuated more than a tiny fraction - this is crucial to avoid the risk of a freezer burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, reaching the desired initial set temperature within an hour and maintaining the temperature constant over the course of our tests.

It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has an ordinary French-door design with gallon-sized bins for the doors on each door as well as two rows of shelves for spill-capture and a set of sleeker drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to give taller items more space. There's also a full-width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser.
The refrigerator comes with an ice maker, making it easy to transfer the frozen ice whenever you need it. The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn't necessarily improve the efficiency of the fridge. In fact it took a bit longer to defrost and chill food in this fridge as compared to other fridges we test. This is probably due to its greater capacity.
Another issue with the doors of this refrigerator. The handles with a sunken design allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However taller people have a difficult time closing them without slamming. It would have been better if they had handles mounted on the front.
The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal choice for those who want to combine the advantages of a French-door fridge's aesthetics with an efficient layout. Its capacity is higher than average for a counter-depth model, and it cools evenly and has a great layout. It's also less expensive than the best counter depth refrigerator with an ice maker, making it an attractive choice.
Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
If you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't cost you a fortune and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a great choice. It's a minimalist design that's not as visually striking as some of the competition, but it has enough features that make it a great choice. Its most important feature is the temperature adjustable drawer that helps keep food items such as meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser, as well as an excellent Ice machine that is fast.
The "Chill Drawer", which sits over the two crisper bins, is a excellent feature. This drawer allows you to redirect some of your fridge's cooling power into this area so that you can store foods that require special attention. You can adjust the feature using a slider that's located right outside of the drawer. It is also possible to use this to adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge however, I've found that changing the generic settings tends to have a better effect than specific ones.
In my tests, the temperature of the refrigerator were fairly constant across the different areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator did not differ much from 38 degrees. That's a good performance, but it doesn't quite be among the top in our rankings.
This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also pair this fridge with a smart thermometer for more precise readings of your fridge's temperature.
The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's outside is made of stainless steel with a grey body which has a "smudge-proof" finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
